If a user wishes to subscribe to our Ezines or other pro-active electronic communication, we ask for only email address contact information. No personal or demographic information, response statistics, or any information other than the function of our mail system will ever be linked to you or your email address.

Information Awards LLC owns many various domains. We collect the e-mail addresses of all those who communicate with us via e-mail or join one of our Ezines or membership web sites.
Surveys
From time-to-time our sites request information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.
Contests
From time to time we may run contests on our site in which we ask visitors for contact information (i.e., their e-mail address).
Contact information from the contests is used to provide the visitor with information about our company. The Member's contact information is also used to get in touch with the entrant when necessary.
The rules and terms of each contest are different so all the information about each contest is clearly posted during the duration of the contest. All contests are fully in accordance with United States law.
All Registrations
During all registrations the user is required to supply a valid email address and given also the option to join one or more email newsletters.
During most registrations the user may be required to supply a username, password, name, country, postal code, physical address, telephone/fax number.
During some registrations the user may be required answer survey questions about birth date, gender, income, online income, Internet connection speed, and career goals.
During (or after reaching tax status) affiliation registrations must include tax identification information and a copy of their government photo ID.
Membership Registration & Purchases
We request information from the user on our order form. Here a user must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill Member's orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user.
Profit Sharing Program
We request information from the user on our application. Here a user must provide contact information (like name, email and home address), financial information (like social security number and bank accounts for deposits), identification, and proof of residency. This information is used for handling affiliation matters. If we have trouble processing revenue, the contact information is used to get in touch with the member.
Information Ranking, Surveys & Contests
Information Awards LLC and Web Hot post extreme edge business-to-business and webmaster information. Visitors are invited to rank what they find good or bad and invited to leave comments. Our sites offer interactive polls to users so they can share their ratings and opinions with other visitors. Throughout our network of forums there are nearly three million registered users. Sharing your email address, home address and telephone number is not recommended. Common Gateway Interface
We primarily use Common Gateway Interface (CGI) for web site security. CGI is also used to create desired material on the fly based on voluntarily shared member preferences. Cookies
A cookie is a small data file that certain web sites write to your hard drive when you visit them. Double Opt-in, Single Opt-out

All Other Records

This website, InfoAwards.com, and all Information Awards LLC sites take every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line.
We use 128-bit Secure Socket Layers(SSL) for all sign-up and members area pages. We also use strong encryption for storing preferences and connection data used by our desktop software. Unless member requests a shorter username or password, we implement 50 character encypted strings to offset hacking attempts.
Information Awards LLC and InfoAwards.com record possible security attacks. These records only contain server, request & time information and do not include any personal information. Local authorities provided with our security records can locate personal information. Possible security attacks include but are not limited to: server errors, unknown web spiders and browsers, multiple similar requests, and sensitive requests (involving membership, email address, password & billing information transmission).
We outsource our billing department. When using our registration/order forms the information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just surfing.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. Access to our all of our members' information, not just sensitive information, is restricted to our administration executives and our software. As software handles most Member care functions, viewing of personally identifiable information is only required when an unforeseen problem arises. Our authorized executives must use password-protected screen-savers when they leave their desk. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to your information.
All Information Awards LLC employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices as well as reminded about the importance we place on those practices, and what they can do to ensure our Members' information is protected.
The servers that we store all information on are kept in a secure environment, behind an extreme-technology firewall, of which we have designed 50 percent. We have never distributed, compromised or lost any collected information.
This site has security measures in place to protect against theft, loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our care.
Information Awards LLC uses all reasonable precautions to keep the personal information disclosed to us secure and not to disclose such information to third parties.
We employ firewalls, encryption software, and other security software to prevent unauthorized access to our systems and data. Physical access to our servers is restricted and monitored by surveillance. Unauthorized access to server hard drives where data is stored is prevented.

Additional Affiliate Security
We have many software programs and monitoring routines to defend both you and us against abusive/fraudulent activities. We will implement any additional measure that you request. We only allow each link to be clicked once per 24 hours blocking by IP, which is the standard way in the industry to handle web guests. But on our system it should only get that far with brand new users, because most of our users join our affliate program and will verify their email address and home address. At this point we can block by unique user who lives in the U.S. and hasn't attempted to abuse our system in the past. If they earn in a year, they will also have to send a w-9 tax form and a copy of a photo ID. At this point we can block by unique user who is a U.S. citizen who has not falsified information. We believe we've designed the most abuse-resistant affiliate program ever created. We felt this was neccessary because eliminating cheaters is very difficult in the search distribution industry. We have gone to great lengths and we will continue to improve our efforts to protect ourselves and also to assure you we our a safe partnership with tremendous assets to you.
